So I got the job.
YAY HAPPY.
I think that Betty trying to teach me theory lessons at my house instead of me going to her is a very doomed cause. Everytime she proposes to come over, it just doesn't work out O_o. Kinda annoying, after a while. Lol.
Oh well.
The music for Edwin Drood came to the school today; Holy shit, its done like jazz and its really kinda very hard to read. Also, the parts are really fucked up. For the woodwinds (Reed 1, Reed 2, Reed 3, Reed 4) its.. bonkers.
My part is Reed four, which is -just- bassoon. Then you get Reed 1, which I believe was piccolo, flute, and clarinet. Reed 2 was... oboe, english horn, clarinet. Reed 3 was .. Flute, clarinet, bass clarinet. And the parts are arranged so you're constantly switching instruments, which is reaaallly fucked up, so Mr. T has to go through all the parts to see if we can either cut some out or divide them into different sections. And the pit actually isn't going to be that big, maybe only about 20 or so.
... But we're part of the play, as in, we get to dress up and be seen. I AM SO FUCKING EXCITED!
XD..
So yeah, this week has been pretty fecking awesome so far.
'Cept when T was being a bit anal and reaming me and Tara out, specifically me because I'm around the band room more often, when he doesn't really need to. We know that we aren't supposed to steal the books from your office, and you don't have to treat me like a child, Kthx. I'm NOT FOUR. Thats the OTHER band students *coughhackchoke*
Oh yeah. To those of you crazy Into the Woods fanatics out there (Heather, Sheila, Amanda, Sarah): there is a song in the musical that is FASTER and CRAZIER than Your Fault. Get jiggy with it!
*twirls and does new feet stomping thing that she does*
Have a good day/week, people, as good as the one I'm having!
ps. Euw, Heather, I have to work with Matt Croll. *hiss*
