It was a rather big kidney stone that had lodged itself between her kidney/bladder, and had caused some damage but they said it would heal on its own. Basically all we have to do now is wait for her to pass it, or, she might have to get surgery. Hoping that surgery isn't required.

After hanging up on my mom quite rudely to avoid more shouting/threatening/angry words, several things occurred to me as a few thoughts went through my head. I can quite easily, if I so choose to at any point in time, sell my car (2005 toyota echo), buy a plane ticket, and probably have enough money to last me for a while at least if I just wanted to up and leave. I could probably weezle a place out of someone to stay as well. Well, maybe not. But god, it would be so easy.

Also, it made me think: What the hell kind of person have I become that I can so easily think of something like that, and then the main reason I have for not wanting to leave is because I finally was accepted to UVic for music.

No wonder I think I'm such a bad friend if I think things like this.

Okay. So, my life has been pretty interesting/busy and stuff this past week, really. And good. Marvelously good, which is weird for me. Which is why I'm going to take a step away from my norm and actually post a detailed, long fly by of everything that's happened.

Starting with Thursday.

... Ahh, Thursday. Not only was it the full moon that day, which explained EVERYTHING (mostly) that happened, but so much random stuff happened to me as well. So. Lets begin at the beginning!

My morning started off kinda annoying Thursday because I was late because I thought I could sleep in till 7:10 and still manage to shower, get dressed, find a music book that had disappeared, and make it to school for 8:55. Yeah, right. Even going 110KM most of the way didn't help. I almost got ran into by a deer after I left my driveway, and cresting the last hill before the school's driveway, a police patrol cruiser, lights on and sirens blasting, scared the shit out of me by swerving about four feet into my lane of traffic while speeding TOWARDS me. Not cool. Nope.

After that, it was school, which was okay, except there was a sub so I couldn't get any tests done for Japanese. Fuckers. Oh, and Mr. T demanded the bassoon back. NO. DORIAN IS MINE PISS OFF... or not because I actually don't own him, Damn it. Then, off to Victoria, for bassoon lesson with Lisa, which was basically a session of me licking my wounds after recovering from a not too nice (or so I thought at the time) audition with UVic. Wah wah, bitch bitch, enough already. That went pretty fine, and Lisa didn't charge me, so I'm all "Whoop, monies for next time!" Well.

Everything was fine until I hit Douglas St. and I was stuck in 40 minutes of traffic from there until I made it to the merge lane just past the Shell Gas Station. Comic relief during that escapade was spotting Sarah and Amanda in the highlander while I was on my cell with Laura Jones and me waving frantically at them. Sarah gave me some weird look though like, "Dude, don't want to look at the loser" when I was manically knocking on my window to get her attention instead of rolling it down, but meh. I am crazy, hear me roar. :D The Malahat was pretty nice and bearable, no cops chased after me when I was doing 100-110 passing really slow idiots that can't stay in their own stupid lane. Then I hit Mill Bay City center, where some dumbfucks in a truck and a small hatchback car had decided to get into an accident. Basically where the three lanes of traffic were all of us cars had to split into the two outside ones to let the police cars through, which was fun, because the semi behind me didn't want to let me back into my lane ^_____^.

... Totally not cool, either. Fuckers. D:

After I finally made it to Laura Jones house and almost cried at her parents from stress of driving (Yes, I am Drama Queen at times, you get out you hypocrites!), I grabbed her, was convinced to go to the Jones's Friday Morning coffee, and made it home. Where a letter from UVic awaited me.

I really can't describe the feelings that I had right there, the simultaneous jolt of overjoyed ecstasy and the sudden heart-stopped plunge of fear of another letter of rejection. See, my audition had only been done five days before, and when I get a letter that fast, I worry.

However, my parents were like "HOLY SHIT IF YOU DOn"T OPEN IT WE WILL, DO IT NOWWWW" So I complied. And I read the word "ACCEPTED" and fucking squealed, danced, stomped, and did all the other stuff I mentioned in a previous post, so I'll stop now.

... For a while, I suppose. ^_^;

Anyhow, I phoned Betty, squealed. Phoned Lisa, got her answering machine, squealed. Squealed at her when she phoned back later as well. :D It was a marvelous ending to a rather... bizarre day. Well, not end, because I watched King Kong (FUCKING BUGS AND LEECHES OKAY?!) with Laura afterwards and ate too much popcorn. Then went to sleep.

On to Friday!

Friday was fun because I want out to coffee with Laura's crazy family, which isn't that crazy, because I'm just not normally exposed to that many relatives at once. My family has this whole we don't talk to each other thing going on, so I find extended family members of friends that get along weird. Yes, I have issues. After that, I ended up being suckered in to working that evening (cutting short my plans of relaxation and laziness for that evening, or rather, as I've already quoted Sheila, "chillaxing") because a coworker had a seizure and was unable to do his shift. Damned conscience. Go make friends with a guillotine, plx. Or something. :( So yeah. Laura and I ended up bumming around in Chemainus after that, and I went to work. That was pretty much the end of that day, or so I thought. I got home to my mom saying "OMG YOU HAS MESSAGE FROM NANAIMO MUSIC PEOPLE GO LISTEN ITS GOOD" ".... okay."

So I got a bursary from them for playing badly. SWEET. Well not badly. Decently with minor mistakes. ^____^;.
(I found out Tuesday it was for $100, but you know what, every bit counts, and free money = love)

SATURDAY.

Work from 11-5. Got home, was lazy. I think I read books, vegetated, ate food, and played KH2.

SUNDAY.

Work from 11-5. Got home, was lazy some more, especially since that day was so freaking busy, or seemed that way, for some reason. Whatever. Giggled a bit because Cary keeps not being told when the store closes at 6, so we have to close as well, and she had Victor scheduled from 4:30-10:30 that night. Whatever.

MONDAY.

.. Ugh. My sister was over by the time I was out of the shower (slept in till like, 11) and was being prissy and demanded I watch a movie with her instead of "chatting like a loser on the computer, which isn't real." She also said my getting accepted to UVic was a waste of money. Last time I tell her shit about my achievments, yet she gets mad when I comment on the fact she still gets laundry done at home and doesn't have the drive to move away from this crap-town. Whatever. Anyhow, before this, when i was getting dressed, my parents were like "LARA YOU HAVE FONE CALL FROM STUPIDSTORE?" and I'm liek "... the shit? I applied there HOW LONG AGO" then I realized I said on my cover letter I would be mostly likely finished school entirely in April, and so I'd have more flexible hours, so I agreed to an interview at 10AM Tuesday. YAY NO MORE LOOKING FOR A NOTHER JOB... But I have lowered myself to accepting a job at superstore, which I promised myself I'd never do. Whatever, its money, I need it badly. Anyhow, I was watching a movie with my sister, and eventually left her to her own movie and hid in my room, which I tend to do if relatives are over anyhow. She yelled, I said.. Whatever, I think. Lol. Ate a family turkey dinner, stuffed face, went to work.

TUESDAY.

Went for the interview, and I said up front because I was accepted to UVic, I'd only be working to the end of August, which rejected me from the Photo/Electronics job (which I probably would have gotten) because their busy time is Christmas and they didn't want to hire a person and train them only to have them leave. So, my resume was bumped to another department, apparently quite rapidly. Before I got home (I had to get gas), Ricki phoned the house and asked to talk to me, so I phoned her back and I was like "Hi." "HI LARA! :D" "Hi ricki! o-o" "... So... looking at your resume. Hmm. I guess I can give you a job." ".... EXCELLENT!" "... yeah."

... So I think I kinda have another part time job.. in the leisure/seasonal department. I hope. I have to go in on Thursday at 3:30 to fill out paper work. Wheee.


... So yeah.

Good things have been happening these last few days. And its so bizarre, because good things NEVER happen to me. So I'm awaiting the arrival of something really bad. Dunno when it'll happen, but I really think it will soon. Oh well. I'm content right now. I have a lesson with Rob Weir tomorrow, and I might go bassoon hunting/looking on Friday. Stuff is all falling into place for me right now,and there is a pot of gold on the other side of the rainbow. I can only hope that my friends and everyone else I know is having as good of a time as I am. :D

1. I dunno if this counts because its past tense, but I used to chew/suck on my socks after I'd worn them because I liked the taste. Don't ask me what I was thinking then. ~_~;

I GOT MY ACCEPTANCE LETTER FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF VICTORIA'S SCHOOL OF MUSIC!!!!!!!!




And I'm ignoring the fact that its all "omg this is based on whether or not Undergraduate Admissions approves of your grades and stuff." Because you know what! I GOT IN. EAT IT BITCHES!


So yeah, it was kind of a giant huge shock of dhoom because in all honestly, I messed up quite nicely on my audition, or so I thought. I left that room and cried my eyes out in front of my mom, Betty, and my accompanist, and I felt bad for all that. But you know! ITS ALL GREAT. EVERYTHING IS WORKING OUT. Rofl. When I got the envelope (yesterday when i got home from Victoria with Laura Jones in tow) I was all "Oh shit, if it comes this fast, I think I failed. Again." and my parents were like "OPEN IT DAMN IT BEFORE WE DO" and then I read "ACCEPTED" and I was like "OMMMGG AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!~!!!" and I proceeded to stop feet, scream, squeal, giggle, and grin madly! My day was so awesome, even with the crazy accident by Mill Bay City Center, getting attacked by a patrol car and a deer. Rofl! So. Haha, I win, I'm finally where I want to be. KUDOS TO ME, THE GIRL WHO DIDN'T FAIL A SECOND TIME. WHOOT WHOOT! THANK YOU BETTY, LISA, AND PEOPLE! XD

I was talking positively to myself in the car after I dropped Laura and her sister off after Drood tonight, and it was pretty freaking hilarious/insane, now that I think back on it. Whatever.
